Concert review

David Shead and John Padley: The first BMS brass recital and a resounding success. The recital room rang with the crystal clear virtuosity of David's trumpet playing trumpet and piano.

Emma Hancock and Michael Hancock: One of a number of very fine young British violinists Emma gave us a delightful programme from Bach to Walton showing great virtuosity and musicianship. An inspiration to many of the young violinists present.

Khac Chi: Hot from their success at the Rainforest Music Festival, Sarawak. An evening of sheer delight by this wonderful husband and wife duo playing traditional Vietnamese instruments.

Sarah Miller and Loo Bang Hean: a stunning display of woodwind playing.

Young pianists concert: Stunning performances by two young musicians from Malaysia, Gan Wui Ming and Wong Shuen Da with local pianist Stefanie Chua.

Wrigley Sisters: An evening of fun and the traditional folk music from the Orkney Isles fiddle and guitar.

Dominic Alldis: A dinner cabaret with one of London's most accomplished performers.
