Rhythm represents life. Music also becomes lively and enjoyable with the help of rhythm. A mature musician therelore needs a mature percussionist, without whom the recitals will not bloom.
Such a percussionist is Pintu Da, one of the most talented tabla and pakhawaj players today. Born in Kolkata, Pintu had his initial training under the late Pt.Manik Pal, Shri Malhar Ghosh and then from Pt. Asit Pal. At present he is a disciple of Pt.Tanmoy Bose of Farukabad Gharana, |ndia's most eminent tabla virtuoso.
